In the Birdywing.com store you have the opportunity to make purchases without registering an account!
You can do this in a few steps:

  1. Add the products you are interested in to the “Basket”. Choose a convenient form of delivery and payment, and then click “Next”.
  2. Enter the e-mail address to which we will send information about the status of the order and confirm it by clicking “Next”.
  3. In the form, enter the data to which the invoice will be issued.
  4. Mark the necessary consents and click “Continue”,
  5. Choose the method of payment for the order and click “Next”.
  6. In the next step, make sure that all the given data is correct and confirm the order by clicking “Place order and pay” button.

Time, which we need to prepare the order for shipping (delivery) is 5-8 days. But usually we do everything possible to send your order as soon as possible. Please note that we prepare and we ship your order only BUSINESS DAYS Monday through Friday, NOT including weekends.

Finished products are subject to returns, while products made to individual order are unfortunately not subject to returns. All our products are subject to warranty in case of defects.

For delivery within Europe, we use DPD courier. Outside of Europe, packages are shipped using FedEx courier.

Our prices do not include VAT, GST or other national taxes outside the European Union countries.

For international customers who are required to pay customs, you will receive an email from GFS Gateway, First Mile or your local customs authorities requesting payment for processing your order through customs. Unfortunately, there is no legal way to bypass customs. Once payment has been made to the customs broker, your order will be processed for final delivery.
Due to the dimensions of the package you will pay import duties and taxes. The amount of taxes depends on the regulations in your country, usually around 30-60 USD. BIRDYWING is not responsible for these.

Instructions & tips

If the wall is rough, we recommend mounting the maps with a quick-drying silicone adhesive. Be sure to apply enough glue so that the map adheres well to the wall. 

We recommend a strong quick-drying silicone glue, such as MAMUT Montage glue, Pattex Fix all in one, for fixing maps.

To mount one 250x125cm map, one 250g tube of glue is enough.

Due to the fact that Birdywing specializes in online sales and we operate globally, we do not provide dedicated installation services. The application of our maps is quite simple – installation can of course be outsourced to a professional, but also placing the map on the wall yourself is not very problematic. If the wall is well prepared and we have all the necessary tools, the installation will go smoothly and quickly. Each map comes with installation instructions and a template for gluing the map.

The moss map of the world is completely maintenance-free, requiring no watering, fertilizing or pruning. It also does not require sunlight or lamps. The mossy plant itself is a very hardy plant, as it does not need contact with the soil. Minimal humidity is enough for the moss to remain velvety soft and retain its luscious green color. A green maple moss plant will maintain its natural green color and nice-to-touch velvety fluff if the air humidity stays between 40-60%. This is the standard humidity that is found in any home where people reside.

The LED map is a device that requires power and comes with a desktop power supply. This power supply can be plugged into a standard European or American outlet to provide power.

The Classic map has country signatures that are laser-burned into it.
The Premium map has country signatures, about 400 cities, rivers and lakes. This map is made using UV printing technology.

Selecting a map size for your wall depends on a number of factors, including the size of your wall, the purpose for placing the map, and your personal aesthetic preferences. Here are the steps to help you choose the right size map for your wall:

  • Measuring the wall: Measure the exact wall where you want to place the map. This will help you determine the available space and dimensions you have available.
  • Purpose of placing the map: Decide why you want to place the map on the wall. Is it to be the main decorative element or is it to be used as a practical tool, such as a world map for educational purposes?
  • Scale: Determine whether you want the map to fill the entire wall, or whether it should be part of a larger wall gallery with other paintings or decorations. This will help you determine the scale of the map.
  • Preserving space: Leave margins around the map, preferably 20-30 cm on each side, to avoid the indentation effect and give the map space.
  • Map size: Choose a map of the right size based on the wall measurement and scale you have chosen.Make sure the map will be easy to see and read.
  • Overall aesthetics: Choose a map with colors and style that harmonize with the interior design.Balance:If the map is to be hung above a piece of furniture, such as a desk or sofa, place it at the right height so that it is balanced against the furniture and at eye level.
  • Visual Proof: Using cut-out cardboard or adhesive tape, create a visual sketch of your chosen map size on the wall to see how it will look in reality.

Natural: This color may be suitable for more neutral interiors. It is a typical wood color that fits many decor styles, from classic to modern.

Oak: Oak color can be a great choice for more traditional and rustic interiors. It is a light wood shade that will liven up a space.

Walnut: Walnut color is warm and rich. It’s a good choice if you want to add warmth and elegance to a space.

Ebony: Ebony color is a deep, dark wood shade and is suitable for more upscale and modern decor. It is a bold choice that can attract attention.

The final choice depends on your taste, interior style and the effect you want to achieve. You may also want to consider what other decor elements, such as furniture and accessories, will go with your chosen map color.

If you order the map then the template is included, but you can buy more templates if you plan to move the map to another location in some time.

Step 1: Preparation
Start by preparing a place for the map. Use painter’s tape to attach a stencil to the wall where you want to place the map. This will provide a stable base and make it easier to place the continents accurately.

Step 2: Cut out the Continent
Now proceed to cut out one of the outlines of the continents from the paper template. The continents are already pre-cut, so all you need to do is gently tear them out of the template. However, remember not to tear out all the continents at once, as this can make the assembly more difficult.

Step 3: Glue the Map
Glue the printed map on the wall. If you chose the adhesive option, apply it evenly to the back of the map in a “zigzag” or “dots” pattern. If you are using Velcro mounting, peel off the protective film on one side of the Velcro, stick it to the map, then peel off the protective film on the other side and stick the map to the wall.

Step 4: Continue Assembly
Continue mounting by following the steps above for the other items in the package. Pull out the continent, apply glue or stick Velcro, and place the piece on the template on the wall.

Step 5: Islands
Once you have attached the larger continents, proceed to assemble the small islands. Follow the same steps as before: pull out the appropriate piece, apply glue or stick Velcro, and then place the small islands on the template according to the numbering given.

Step 6: Remove the Mounting Template. 

Once you have finished assembling all the pieces, gently remove the template from the wall. Now your world map is ready to be admired!

You can send the product back any way you want, bearing the return shipping costs.

We do not accept COD shipments.

We will refund your payment up to 14 days after you give us your statement of withdrawal, using the same means of payment that you used in the original transaction. We may withhold the refund until we receive the product or until you provide us with proof of return, whichever event occurs first.

If you wish to make a complaint, you are welcome to send a message to e-mail: office.birdywing@gmail.com with a description of the situation, attaching photos showing the damage/defects of the products and stating the expected solution (replacement/refund / discount). We will confirm the registration of the request in a return message. We will process the complaint within a maximum of 14 days.

If you have a discount code, you can use it according to its rules. When placing an order in the shopping cart, there is a field “Enter discount code”. Here you need to enter your code and confirm, and the value of your order will automatically be reduced.

If after entering your discount code does not work, it means that:

  • It may have been entered incorrectly.
  • Its expiration date has expired.

All you have to do is enter the code from the Voucher in the “Enter Discount Code” field and confirm. The value of your order will automatically be reduced.

The voucher is valid for 12 months from its purchase.
